Providing safe driving education to young drivers
Cody passed away on November 15, 2017 at the age of 20 due to an automobile accident. Factors in the accident were speed, wet pavement, and distraction. Cody was a very well known and loved member of our community, he touched everyone he ever met, and we have been told over and over again how much he is loved and missed. The support we have received since his passing has been amazing. Since Cody’s passing, we have felt the need to pay it forward to our community, so we have decided to become committed to preventing this tragedy from happening to another family. We have formed a non profit organization where we are partnering with our local schools to sponsor safe driving programs in Cody’s memory.
We are committed to providing young drivers with the knowledge necessary to practice safe driving habits and to reduce the number of unnecessary deaths caused by unsafe driving. Our goal is to make drivers of all ages more aware of their situations while driving and to put the phone down and pay attention. So many lives could be saved if these simple things are done each and every time we all get behind the wheel of a car.
Whether you help through monetary donations, participating in our fundraisers, or simply by spreading the word, we are thankful to have supporters like you.
Your generous gift will help us fund our mission to provide safe driving programs. Cody's Community, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
